This project stands as one of my most intricate website designs, developed for N-Rated, a small, emerging business focused on e-commerce apparel and the promotion of local Richmond communities through monthly events. My primary responsibility involved coding and designing the brand's original launch website. I focused on integrating dynamic elements like scheduling and dates, dedicated sections for community and artist showcases, and a specialized space for the lead artist to feature his unique clothing line and artwork. While the organization has since updated its web presence and I provided some input on the redesign, I chose not to include the refurbished material in my portfolio. Much of the current backend development was handled after my departure to pursue new career objectives, making the original version a truer representation of my individual contribution.

 

Visually, the site features a backdrop of curated video content for which I created custom animated logos, 3D models, and typography. The design philosophy aimed for a minimalist aesthetic punctuated by vibrant splashes of color, using the artist's work as floating motifs and imagery throughout the interface. This was complemented by a heavy black-and-white style and bold lettering to enhance the overall impact. While I look forward to sharing my upcoming promotional work for the Virginia Commonwealth University technology division, I believe this project effectively demonstrates my comprehensive skills as a web designer.
